FAQs

Compatibility

Will the Rapidrill SLIM fit my drill?

The Rapidrill SLIM is compatible with most popular drills, both corded and cordless. However, it’s always a good idea to check the collar size and specifications of your drill before purchasing. If you’re unsure, feel free to contact us for guidance. See Drill Compatibility List here

Does the Rapidrill work at high angles or on pipes?

Yes! The Rapidrill’s self-stabilizing design allows you to drill precise right-angle holes even on pipes and uneven surfaces. This makes it an excellent choice for a variety of job sites.

How does it compare to traditional hand drilling?

The Rapidrill SLIM reduces fatigue, improves precision, and speeds up drilling by up to 25x compared to manual drilling. It ensures perfect right-angle holes and significantly extends drill bit life.

Performance

Does using the Rapidrill put extra strain on my drill?

The Rapidrill SLIM is designed to optimize drilling efficiency without overloading your drill motor or bearings. It applies precise force to extend drill bit life and reduce overall wear. However, proper drill speeds and regular maintenance are recommended for the best results.

Is the Rapidrill SLIM as effective as a mag drill?

While a mag drill is great for specific heavy-duty jobs on magnetic surfaces, the Rapidrill SLIM offers unmatched portability, versatility, and ease of use. It’s ideal for jobs where you need precision drilling without the constraints of power requirements or magnetic surfaces.

Can I use the Rapidrill SLIM for thick materials?

The Rapidrill SLIM is best suited for woodworking, light metalwork, and general applications. For drilling through thicker, tougher materials like hardened steel, we recommend the Rapidrill PRO for maximum performance

Ease of Use

Is the Rapidrill SLIM difficult to set up?

Not at all! The Rapidrill SLIM is lightweight and easy to attach to your drill. It’s designed for quick setup so you can start drilling in no time.

Can I use cutting fluid or lubricant with the Rapidrill?

It works… but might not be worth it

It’s so big and bulky it adds enough difficulty to drilling a hole to counteract any added ease it gives. You can hog a 1/2 inch bit through some 3/8 mild steel with no pilot hole, but only after modding it to hold your drill well. It’s cool for about 5 holes, then you realize how bulky it is. For me it’s just an expensive paper weight now. But maybe if your always using worn bits or something or are drilling through 2 inches of steel. I bought it for 7/16 holes in quarter inch stainless…. and we passed on it lol. It’s just so big lol

make sure it will fit your drill.

Seems pretty well constructed but could not use it on any of my drill bodies. I have to pay to ship it back to seller. Suggest making sure it will fit your tool beforehand.

Amazing Tool!

I am completely impressed with how effective this is. I used it with my Dewalt to drill ten 1/2” holes through 3/8” steel plate, and it probably took me under 5 minutes total from start to finish. And it made it really easy - I didn’t get tired out at all. I wish I would have found this earlier!

Good idea, but not worth the $300

Well, the concept is good. However, it's just kinda wimpy for what I had hoped to use it for. If you just need something for sheet metal or light duty, this might do the trick, but anything steel that's above 1/4" thick, I wouldn't suggest trying to use it. I wanted it for 1/2" holes in 1/2" stainless plate. Even using two pilot holes to make it's job easier, I bent it on the first hole at size. - but again, it's a good idea, just not sturdy enough. ESPECIALLY for $300...
